Yesterday, I finally dealt with an issue with my writing excel sheet(s). I have an excel spreadsheet where I keep as much info for my Farsang stories: character info (name meanings, personality, physical descriptions, name pronunciation, etc), geography, cultural terms and slang, etc etc etc.

Well, I was saving it in multiple locations and realized I may have things in one version that weren’t in the other and vice versa. So yesterday I finally sat down to compare. I think I got it figured out 😬

Now it’s time to edit my next story, which is a different vibe from The Ascension Sanctum and is also much longer! I’ll be posting this one in installments on Royal Road.

While recovering from wisdom teeth (all 4, baBEE!), I have managed to get some bullet journaling done. Had to prep for new month!

All the stickers I used are from the Creative Christian “Sticker Inspirations” book I got from Barnes & Noble a little while back. I usually don’t go for specifically “Christian” labeled things because they’re usually too cheesy or too formal, but these are the perfectly balanced cute + theologically sound. I started with the green sprout heart and just decided for the cover to just do heart stickers. Was pretty fun.

I used some cool papers, some intriguing digital prints from @printseys , and some really cute stickers from the Nature Anatomy sticker book by Julia Rothman @juliarothman .

This month’s aesthetic is PINK junk journal! I was surprised at how much pink stuff I had so I’m putting it all to good use. I really am leaning into the junk journal aspect.

It’s month #9 (I do 4-week aka 28-day months) so I printed out 1 Corinthians 13:1-9. It’s a good reminder for this year with my word being “love.”

There’s also this Hello Kitty marshmallow bag that was fun to add in since part of it is clear. Some cutouts from a Crumbl box sleeve. Washi tape. Stickers galore. And a flamingo floaty I cut out of a calendar I made. All the good stuff. And this is just the cover spread!

My “gamer girl” spread, inspired by a game called Dredge, which is a “single-player, Lovecraftian horror fishing adventure game,” according to THE Google. I’ve enjoyed it a decent amount, even got the DLC for it.

I used my Smithsonian “Cabinet of Curiosities” sticker book to find some bizarre looking sea creatures. Then I added a ton of coffee Tim Holtz ink to the edges of torn paper and the pages. Was pretty fun.

A writing challenge for the rest of 2025: every month I write a certain amount of days, I plan to treat myself. So far, this month will not be a treat myself month, but it’s ok.

This spread feels so cozy. I took an old mini calendar page I have and cut it in half to place part on either side of the spread. Then I tipped in a Dutch Door for the actual tracker part of the challenge. I also took some coffee-colored Tim Holtz ink and dabbed it around the edges for an antique-y effect. Then, of course, add stickers!

Since I’m back in my travelers notebook (probably through the end of the year, at least), I’m using one insert for each month, and a couple for more long-term spreads like this one.

For this weekly and daily spreads, I mostly used this folded round box my mom thought I’d like (she was right), an orange/pink flowery greeting card, and stickers from this sticker book I got recently (in last photo) from Barnes & Noble.

I don’t often get “Christian” or “religious” stickers, because they’re often too cheesy or too formal, but these are all pretty cool (not fully cheese-free).

One thing I got excited about when putting together the first page (with the lady carrying the big basket) was I found I had already printed Matthew 11:28-30 (“come to me all who are weary and carry heavy burdens”) and saved it because I didn’t know where to put it. But that passage was perfect for this image! I love when things come together. ♥️

This spread was all inspired by the coloring page here from my Life is Strange coloring book. I decided to color it specifically for my bujo. All the butterflies took quite a while. Then I added some blue ink smudgy magic, a few butterfly stickers, and the Bible passage. I am absolutely in love with how it turned out. No tracking, etc. Just a pretty spread for me to look at when I like.

This month I tried something different—I used some coloring pages for a couple spreads. Here’s the first one—the left side of my monthly cover spread.

I used a page from my Life Is Strange coloring book. In my mind, I’m imagining Max floating in the water as us floating in God’s overwhelming, unfathomable love. I decided to turn the page sideways and cut out the silhouette of Max’s face sticking up out of the water she’s swimming in, which gave it a bit of a 3-dimensional look.

I feel like my style has been becoming more and more kind of a junk journal bujo style: a mixture of repurposed items, new items, and the usual planning/tracking elements.

I really enjoyed putting all the layers together. Plus, BLUE was a fun aesthetic to play around with for this month’s spreads.

For both the cover spread and a spread of its own, I used a couple pages from my Life is Strange coloring book. Also, on the cover spread—the part with the vase and the hummingbird—I used a piece of an old calendar.

For the calendar pages (decided to do a couple since I wanted more room to write about my day), I used pieces from a gift bag as well as a Dutch Bros freebie sticker.

For the trackers spread I used some cute cat stickers Bobby (my amazing husband) recently got me and a white out pen.

The weekly and daily spreads: a lot of stickers from my Smithsonian sticker book (love love love!) that a friend got me for my last birthday.

Yesterday, I worked on my High Priestess short story some more. Presented it to my writing group and got some good feedback. Then found/created names for some of the characters in the story and tweaked some things. It was a very good day.

Shown in the picture is a book I’ve had for possibly a few decades now? It’s called the Writer’s Naming Resource Book. I don’t always use it and may use the internet instead, but it’s nice to go back to.

If you need some musical inspiration while writing villains, I recommend a couple dark instrumental mixes on YouTube: 1) “Soundtrack for a Supervillain” by Secession Studios and 2) “How Do You Destroy A Monster Without Becoming One?” by sunsetdreams. The music definitely helped me feel pretty good about my writing. (The song playing here is the first song on the “Soundtrack for a Supervillain.”)

Starting week #4! Today, I worked on another short story that I’ve partially written. This one is about a High Priestess as she tests one of her young apprentices late at night.

All the stickers are from @jolla.co , specifically the “photography” sticker sheet. It seemed very fitting for this kind of spread. Plus, the colors are marvelous.

I’ve used a lot of Kraft paper in this notebook thus far as well as these Presto correction pens—they work much better than any white gel pens I’ve tried in the past. What do you think?

My new notebook is a Scribbles That Matter. It s glorious. The pages are so thick, I love tracing the designs in the cover, and it even came with its own fineliner! The stickers are so cute, and they’re all from @jolla.co

This is one of the first spreads. Our (mine/my husband’s) church has been doing a series on the Apostles’ Creed, so I decided to just write it all out to look at on a daily basis. ♥️
